Abstract

A copy of the first book-size Russian translation of Ossianic cycle (1792) kept in Turgenev Library in Paris has handwritten notes on it. The article draws attention to them for the first time. Their analysis permits to rise the question of the existence of a Masonic reception of Ossian in the 18th and early 20th centuries.
